“Atlas Sound” aka Bradford Cox in his hotel room during 2009’s ATP/All Tomorrow’s Parties Music Festival. He’s showing us how it is done when one man, his guitar, his voice, & his toys are used properly in conjunction with live looping aka infinite tape loop simulation layering.
Presumably from the same hotel complex where many of the ATP fest’s artist were staying.. Here Bradford Cox is joined by No Age’s Randy Randall and esteemed film director and occasional musician Jim Marmusch for an impromtu version of an old Neil Young song - “Cortez the Killer”.

Thanks to my lovely DVR, eYe caught this stellar performance last week on the Conan O’Brien show. Found it on the old YouTube already, so I thought I’d share some of the auditory magic that is Fleet Foxes with all of ya’s. I can hear shades of Neil Young and David Crosby coming through, with other newer elements similar to that of Band Of Horses & My Morning Jacket. However, these guys are far from unoriginal, but rather the continuation in a long line of top notch North American song writers, singers, players, & performers. -Enjoy.
So recently, eYe was infiltrating a few of my stockpiles of content, and per chance to notice this dusty batch of 2oo4 era video footage in the Osteen archives A small bit of it was: ZOLTAN DOBI- jamming at the ol’ Kingsweird Studios, over there somewherez North West of Winter Park, FL.
This little exercise in shamanic finger gesturing, melodic percussive smelting, & auditoreactive n00dle gymnasticz happened in early May of 2004. In case you are unfamiliar, Z.D. is comprised and composed of/by Adrian Taylor,
-also of Tel Aviv Bats, and Gar Bailey aka alGARhythm.
Zoltan Dobi self-released their 1st and only full length album “Cooter Beek Invades Foreign Occupations” in 2005, and then again in 2006, but this time in partnership with Polyvibe Records in a digital format…..
