Radiohead - “House of Cards” Video for Streaming or DL

The recently released Radiohead video for the track: “House Of Cards” is some high-fallutin’ high-techery at it’s finest. That’s right kids.. no cameras or lights were used in the making of this video!!  The footage by Radiohead, director: James Frost, & a multitude of unnamed technicians.. employs frickin’ laser beams!, Geometric Informatics , and other uber modern devices and formulae to create this post millenial music “video”.

For those of you who want to see more than what Thom Yorke describes as, “the internet streaming pixellation squash” of the YouTube version and the likes.  There is a high resolution .mov file version of the video currently available for free download, thanx to Mr. Yorke and crew:

Radiohead - “In Rainbows”mp3 versions available today

You pick your own price as well, for these 10 fresh, tracks by the effervescing elephant  known as: Radiohead.  *One tip - These are 160k mp3’s.  Some folks that may have thought they were getting the CD quality 320k mp3s may have been a bit bummed.  Tis why I only paid about 3 pounds/6 bucks for my copies.  I mean even high quality MP3s should be less expensive than vinyl.. right?  Don’t dismay about the CD quality though.  The 160k mp3’s sound fine.. atleast until the full double album with the vinyl n’ all the extras comes out in December.

As far as the record goes after 2 listens or so..  I’m feeling it’s mellow, sultry vibe.  A solid mix of the uber-varied, musical styles that Radiohead has touched on in the past decade er so.  Delivered in a silky, streamlined format and sound this time around.  There’s a comfortableness to the record, but not in a bullish manor.  More of a calm after a period of kenetic frenzy and instability.  There are some super straight up beautiful sounding tracks on this record for sure.  N’ lord knows that I’m a sucker for beauty.  “Nude” and ”Weird Fishes/Arpeggi” are 2 of the albums highlights in my mind, but hey.. to each his own, right?

Maybe some of the so-called, musical ”purists” who’ve been crying like babies since The Bends and OK Computer will have a pot to piss in again..  Doubt it though, heh.

For those that would like to take a deeper inspection of the new Radiohead’s  record “In Rainbow’s”.  -Here’s Rolling Stone’s track by track preview of all 18 songs, complete with commentary and bootlegged vid’s:  http://www.rollingstone.com/news/story/16654550/radioheads_in_rainbows_trackbytrack_preview
