Video: Beck - “Youthless”

*UPDATE (11/20/08):  This original video link I posted to, has since been yanked from youtube.  I’ve reposted a new link to the video.  No telling how long it will be up for, but for now it should work.  If not, that means it’s been yanked again.  I’ll try to keep my eye on for ya’s.

Peace - gaR

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=->

I will readily admit that I am not the hugest fan of Beck’s newest album, “Modern Guilt“. Especially when compared to some of his past efforts. But hey, as an artist, something I know all too well is that one can’t hit a “home run” every outing. Don’t get me wrong, there are some solid tracks, especially on the 2nd half of the record. However I was pretty damn stoked with the video for the track “Youthless”.  -Some Dada-esque imagery & elements going on for sure.   And anyone who knows my artistic leanings, knows of my fondness for that particular artistic aesthetic.

Jan Svankmajer: “Dimensions of Dialogue”(Part 2)

My wife, Dana and I go through the types of things represented in the footage below on a daily basis.  The dynamics of the masculine and feminine relationship to and with each other, can be endlessly eternally satisfyingly frustrating.  Back in the early 1980’s, the Czechoslovakian born Jan Svanmajer illuminated and enlightened these types of human behaviorism’s with his particular brand of artw3rk. Which is like none other.   Uber Brilliant ideas and stop animationz galore.

“One Hand Washes The Other”

This painting was gift to Mic Mell. One of 5 pieces that I gave away at random during the opening for my gART show last June. The other recipients that night included: Michael McNabb, Crystal Perry, a married couple with two kids who like Stereolab, and Mic Mell’s photographer friend.  (eYe still wanna see the pics that he took at the opening Mr. Mell.)
